About Madison Gate Services

A Warren gate company that started on residential driveway gates and now looks after the whole entry: the gate, its opener and the controls.

Theo Kaur

Theo learned gate work on a crew that repaired swing and sliding driveway gates. His first task there was resetting sagging hinges and realigning latches that no longer caught.

That crew taught him that most gate trouble starts small: a loose post, a worn roller, a track packed with grit. It also taught him to watch how a household actually uses its gate before suggesting any changes. A gate that opens ten times a day for two cars and a delivery van needs something different from one that opens twice a week.

In 2014 he started Madison Gate Services in Warren to work that way for his own customers. Today Theo makes the first site visit on most jobs. He walks the driveway, checks the posts and the opener, and explains what needs repair and what can wait.

How the Business Started

The company began with residential driveway gates in Warren, Michigan. Those first jobs were the basics of the trade: hinges that had dropped, latches that missed their keeper, gates that dragged across the drive because a post had moved.

The work grew from there, because a gate rarely fails on its own. When a gate is automatic, the hinge, the opener arm, the safety sensors and the keypad all depend on each other. Fixing one part well means understanding the rest, so the business took on the whole entry.

The Gate Work We Focus On

Today we handle swing and sliding gates, along with the operators, openers, keypads, intercoms, remotes and safety sensors that run them. We replace worn hinges, rollers and tracks, fix gates that drag or stall, and troubleshoot wiring and control boards.

Some jobs are a single repair. Others are a new gate for a lot or yard, set up with an opener and an entry system from the start. Either way the work starts the same way: a look at the gate in place, how it is used and what is wearing.

Who We Work For

Our customers include homeowners, landlords, property managers and small businesses in Warren, Sterling Heights, Roseville and nearby communities. Most are dealing with a gate that has stopped closing, or want a new entry set up for a lot or yard.

A landlord or property manager often needs a gate that many people use without trouble, with codes or remotes that are easy to manage. A homeowner usually wants a driveway gate that closes every time and a remote that works from the car. A small business may need a lot gate that opens for staff and deliveries and stays shut after hours. The towns we cover are listed on Where We Work.

How a Visit Starts

Call or message us with a short description of the gate and what it is doing. Swing or sliding, the opener if you know the brand, and whether it is stuck open or closed is plenty to start. We will arrange a time to come take a look.

On the visit we look at the posts, the hinges or rollers, the track and the opener, and we talk through what the gate needs now and what can wait. If you have photos of the gate, you can send them to us by email after your request.
